Comment Spam

I've been reading the WordPress Support Forums and lately it seems the #1 thing people are posting about is comment spam. This continually surprises me as I've not had any comment spam since I started using WordPress. I wonder if the comment spammers are afraid of a coffee drinking bear or something?
