Comment Spam

I've been reading the WordPress Support Forums and lately it seems the #1 thing people are posting about is comment spam. This continually surprises me as I've not had any comment spam since I started using WordPress. I wonder if the comment spammers are afraid of a coffee drinking bear or something?

More likely, I just don't get enough traffic to make it worth their while to spam me or I've got enough anti-spam plugins installed that I never see anything that they're trying to do.

    It took a while, but I've finally been getting comment spam. Even funnier? Today (almost a year after this post was written), I got comment spam on this post! :)
