I’ve shelved this book for another day. I wanted to enjoy it, but I was hampered by the book being loaded down with Scottish words I do not know. I could piece together some of the meaning of some of the stories but not enough to enjoy them. There were some stories written in plain enough English for me to understand but the best of those were simply excerpts and they ended just when getting interesting.
