Years and years ago when I was at some sort of family function, one of my relatives brought along a treat. Over time I’d forgotten it’s name, but had developed a craving to have it again. What I could remember:
- It was like a thin, sugar wafer.
- It had a slight lemon taste.
- It came in a round tin and was cut into small, pie shaped pieces.
I thought I remembered the relatives saying it came from Gevalia when they bought some coffee. And I’d done some searching over the years, but I never had any luck finding the right search terms to find what I was looking for.
This past weekend, Michelle & I took a bike ride to the Czech village and visited their reopened museum[ref]Reopened in a temporary location while they work on their main building.[/ref] While browsing the museum, I saw the tin holding these and instantly knew I’d found the treat I’d been looking for. It’s been Carlsbad Oblaten Lemon Wafers that I’ve been searching and now that I’ve found it I’m enjoying it. ^_^
