I installed WP 1.2.1 tonight and am in the process of restoring some of the hacks/plugins that I use for CoffeeBear.net. If you notice any oddities or problems; please let me know.

Also, I’m sending a trackback on this entry to Craig Hartel‘s site to try double-checking on whether or not trackbacks are broken in WP 1.2.1.

Thanks to my readers. Apologies to Craig for picking on his blog.

I was just looking over my site logs and noticed the section showing what sorts of searches had lead people to the site:

    Top 10 Total Search Strings

  1. hogwarts sorting hat myers-briggs

  4. site:coffeebear.net

In response:

  1. Ok, I get the point. I’ll stop relying on quizzes so much when I don’t feel like writing up a real post.
  2. Umm, I don’t know what that means and I’m frightened to think of what it could.
  3. Sorry, I don’t know where to find a manual of this player on line but you can read my thoughts about it here.
  4. If you know the name of the site why are you bothering to search for it?
  5. Umm, I’m pretty sure that should be Osamu Tezuka and he’s done many wonderful films.
  6. See Reply# 3.
  7. See Reply# 3.
  8. I do drive a Honda Accord but it doesn’t have a VCD player in it, though there is the crappy factory installed stero (which needs to be replaced).
  9. I read books and I post my thoughts on them. What need is there to search for a specific link?
  10. I think you’re really looking for Brown Equals Terrorist

It occurred to me lately that I’d been really slacking off on working on any of my arty skills and I decided that for the foreseeable future:

  • I will do one sketch a day.
  • At the end of the week, I’ll review those sketches.
  • I will then pick my favorite of those sketches and post it on my site.

As you’ve probably noticed already; I’ve finally switched over to the new look that I’ve been working on for CoffeeBear.net. It’s not 100% finished but it’s close enough that I wanted to go ahead and make the switch. My thanks go out to Root for his Trident interface/template on which this new look is based. Sure, my implementation isn’t fancy but it’s a nice change from the old look and is more mine than any other look that I’ve used.

Also, I’ve finally opened my Gallery for your viewing pleasure. Currently, the only thing in there are a selection of photos that I took during my Japan trip. I’ll be adding more to it later.

Enjoy!

Update: Err, I’ve noticed that the new look is busted up on my Portal page and on some of my posts. I’m working to correct that now.

Update 2: Oh and a word of caution, my gallery pages are massively picture heavy. I’ll see about sorting them out a bit later into smaller folders, but for now if you try viewing those pages over dial-up… You’ll be sitting there a while waiting for the thumbnails to load.

Update 3: I forgot to mention, my gallery is currently being powered by Paul Griffin’s Simple PHP Gallery
