While reviewing the last of the photos I took of ICON38, I got to thinking back to opening ceremonies. Our toastmaster, Jim C. Hines, introduced this year’s GoHs by comparing each of them to various characters from the Avengers. It just occurred to me that while he did a masterful job of picking out who all the other GoHs were; he didn’t pick one for himself. So who could he be?
The character would have to be likeable and funny. He’d have to understand the nature of fandom and have unseen depths. I don’t know about the rest of you; but I think that means he’s got to be Agent Phil Coulson.
